They remind me of those veins spreading over the surface in "War of the Worlds".
The angle is certainly interesting, but the building itself is relatively unimpressive in comparison. There just doesn't seem to be anything eerie or awe-evoking in the building to justify the angle it was taken at (strangely the ivy receives more justice than the wall).
